Apple Co-founder: Computer can act a Teacher in the Future
Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak recently said that computers can help improve America’s public education system. On this Tuesday, Wozniak said that although the technology is still far away from the substitute teachers, it makes some of the equipment with the human senses, such as action, vision and hearing when he participated in activities in Silicon Valley engineer. Wozniak said:"Let the equipment become our friends, not just a calculated textbook so that we are getting closer from here."
United States face a huge budget deficit, the state and Department of Education may cut spending, thus affecting the class size and teacher salaries. U.S. public schools rely heavily on state funding of financial support, so that there is a great impact by the budget cuts.
In 1976, Wozniak and Steve Jobs co-founded Apple. In 1987, he left Apple, Wozniak has served as a teacher for 8 years in primary school.
Wozniak think that U.S. education system fails to meet the child’s needs, because the school adheres to the philosophy of education from top to bottom. He said:"If a class has 30 students and 30 teachers, each individual will be gotten attention. In addition, they can improve base on their own pace, it will be better." So he thinks that the computer may become a teacher instead one day.
